I really enjoyed my time with Koala. We booked a 2 bedroom lock-off in Maui and had an amazing experience there. I definitely suggest giving Koala a try!

I gotta say, my time with Koala and their team has been pretty solid. The way they worked to get my Timeshare company on their list of qualifying resorts is worth a shout-out, and I appreciate the regular nudges to keep my posts fresh and correct. I'm excited to see how Koala evolves down the line when their platform and services get even better.

I booked a place in Napa Valley through VRBO, which was then handed off to Koala. They assured me everything was set. A couple of days before I was supposed to leave, I called the property and found out they had no record of my booking. Both Vrbo and Koala insisted my reservation was confirmed and even sent another email to back it up. The next day, the property still claimed they didn’t have my reservation. Then, at 5:00 pm, I got a message from Koala saying my booking was canceled and they couldn’t find me another place, but they’d give me a small credit for future travel. Now, I’m looking at paying way more for most spots in the area. To anyone else considering this, be cautious with Koala and their claims about confirmed reservations. Honestly, I would’ve rated them zero stars if that was an option.

Koala had a timeshare/hotel room listed on VRBO and AirBnB. I shot them a message to check if it was free, and they got back to me after a few hours saying it was indeed available and confirmed it had 2 bedrooms with 3 beds. Awesome, I booked it right then. A few hours later, I received a cancellation saying it was no longer up for grabs. Well, at least they didn’t wait until I arrived, so I’ll give them an extra star for that.

Being a timeshare owner, I've turned to the Koala platform to rent out some of my available products. The whole process has been pretty much seamless. Koala keeps me in the loop with updates, and their website is packed with useful info to ensure I'm covered. It's nice to see that they also look out for renters just as much. From what I can tell, folks on both sides of the deal are satisfied! I did run into a situation where my payout didn’t kick in at check-in, but I shot them an email, and they sorted it out by the next business day. Alright, let me break it down for you. For over 15 years, we’ve been vacationing at a family member's timeshare in Newport Coast. Other than that, we don’t really travel much. Recently, we started itching for a beach getaway, and with fancy tastes but a tight budget, we aimed to take our family of five to Hawaii for the first time. We came across Koala and began digging into the idea of timeshare rentals. Watched some YouTube videos, checked out reviews on Google, Reddit, and Tug2, and felt pretty good about this company and their commitment to their service. We were already somewhat familiar with how timeshares work, so we decided to “trust the process.” Well, kind of. I still had a ton of concerns and probably chatted with nearly every Koala staff member over a few weeks. They were super patient with my endless questions, and I really appreciated their support throughout. My biggest fear was landing in Hawaii at 10 p.m. only to find out that our booking wasn’t actually available (which has happened to folks we know with Airbnb and VRBO). The most comforting part was when the timeshare owner transferred the reservation into my name, and I could call Wyndham to verify it. We had snagged a last-minute deal, and it felt almost too good to be true!

When we arrived at the resort, they recognized us right away, and the check-in was a breeze! We had an amazing trip; it was stunning from beginning to end, and we’re so thankful to Koala for their patience and top-notch customer service throughout. They made our 20-year dream of a Hawaiian family vacation come true! We’re spreading the word about Koala to everyone we know.

If I had one piece of advice, it would be to consider adding an option for renters to pay a $99 refundable deposit to transfer the reservation into their name before the cancellation deadline. This could give renters peace of mind by confirming their booking right away (instead of waiting for the cancellation deadline), and it would also protect the owner in case the renter decides to back out. It was a long few weeks of uncertainty wondering if we *really* had a reservation or not (did I mention I’m a bit of a worrier?). That said, we can’t wait for our next vacation and plan to use Koala whenever we can. Wishing them all the best, and hoping more timeshare owners discover this service and successfully list their weeks for rent. Thanks a bunch!

As a timeshare owner, I’m really pleased that Koala is available when I want to rent out my weeks. It’s a trustworthy platform where I feel my funds are protected, unlike some other options out there. They charge a fair commission only after a rental is secured, plus there are no initial fees for owners to post their weeks. The website is user-friendly and keeps getting better with new features. I definitely recommend it for fellow timeshare owners.

We booked our stay at Wyndham Bonnet Creek resort through Koala in January 2021, and it was just perfect. Being on Disney property, Bonnet Creek makes it super easy to hop to and from the parks. Everyone who visits Disney World knows about Bonnet Creek, but we never thought we could swing a stay there until we found Koala. Now, we’re gearing up to plan next year’s trip, and Koala is definitely the site we’ll use. Big thanks to Koala for helping us make our vacation dreams a reality!

I suggest looking for another vacation rental service for a few reasons. Koala's communication is lacking, their prices are steep, and they don't stick to their price match promise. First off, I want to mention that the two ladies I talked to at Koala were really nice and did their best to assist me. So, I place the blame for my poor experience on the management. We arranged our trip months ahead of time, but just days before we were set to go, I still hadn't received a confirmation number. When I logged into their site, it initially showed our booking as canceled, and then it just vanished. I tried calling, emailing, and messaging them, but got no response. I started to worry and began searching for other options. I ended up finding the same resort and dates for about $700 less. Eventually, I did hear back from them. I told them that since I hadn’t received any updates, I wanted to either cancel or have them match the price I found. They turned me down on both counts. They claimed I was within the no cancellation period, which was accurate, but that shouldn't have applied since they never confirmed my reservation. Then they also ignored their own price match guarantee. The owner or manager only offered me a small credit of $150 for my next booking. If they had resolved this issue, I would have kept booking with them since we visit this resort twice a year. But honestly, that credit means nothing to me now, as I can't see myself using their services again due to their poor communication, high rates, and refusal to honor their own price match policy. I strongly urge you to seek out a company that truly values its customers; you’ll likely find better deals too.

Ms. Taylor was an AMAZING caller who ASSISTED ME WITH ALL MY NEEDS. She was super respectful, kind, and just a lovely person. I truly appreciate her and the Koala company.

The check-in process was a breeze, and we enjoyed free self-parking since Koala's account had VIP status. The customer service from Koala was super quick to respond. Definitely recommend!

I gotta say, I was really taken aback by how lovely the spot was. The price we snagged was super appealing, and I had some concerns it might turn out poorly for us, but thankfully, that wasn’t the case at all. Our time there was quite enjoyable. We’re definitely planning to use Koala service for our next getaway. Just a shame we didn’t have more time to hang out!
